High irradiation does not automatically mean simple photovoltaic design. High ambient and module temperatures influence voltage, power, equipment loading, ageing and the uncertainty of expected production.
Check the full temperature range
Cold conditions often set the maximum string voltage, while hot operating conditions reduce voltage and module power. Both limits must remain compatible with the inverter operating window.
Use climate data consistently
The weather source, time period and spatial resolution should be recorded. Mixing extreme design temperatures from one source with typical-year irradiation from another requires an explicit justification.
Connect sizing to thermal and electrical losses
Inverter loading, cable sizing, transformer loading, ventilation and equipment derating should be reviewed with the temperature assumptions rather than as separate checks.
Communicate uncertainty
A credible yield estimate explains the source data, loss assumptions, availability and sensitivity to the main climate variables. The objective is a defendable forecast, not a single unexplained number.
